Let me tell you about this little piece of heaven. The Collard Greens about made me cry. They were so tender and full of flavor, I was three bites in before I touched anything else. The BBQ Ribs had a good bite and bbq sauce didn't over power the meat. The Sweet Potato Pie was delicious, creamy and light. This place is a must stop when flying into Charlotte only 8 minutes from the airport.

You wanna talk about full experience. Food amazing. Like mamas cooking amazing. Staff. Friendly and helpful. The only problem is there's not one of these where I live. I highly recommend this and the smothered pork chops

Great presentation. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very clean space indoors and outdoors. It was well worth the Lyft ride from the hotel. Also a hefty serving that matched the price. I hope they keep up the excellence.

Bomb food!!!! This place is a must if you're ever in the area check it out. The staff here is very nice

Looking for food after our Sullenberger museum tour. Went into this plaza for seafood.. saw soul food and went to explore the menu. We stayed. Food was tasty. I had the 2 meat option with fried tilapia and curried chicken (dark meat choice), plus black eye peas and collard greens. My husband and son had 1 meat.. fried chicken. Worth mentioning that ALL their veggie options have no meat. Fried okra was on menu but it was an upcharge. For a soul restaurant, this shouldn't be. To the best of my knowledge, fried okra is soul. My suggestion.. adjust your serving portion of okra rather than ask us to pay more. Serving area was clean and so was the beverage station. Tables were very decent considering I didn't see any crew member wiping down. And muted conversations, no loud talking or obnoxious language. Soothing music played in background. Used the women's restroom .. pleasant smell and clean. An adjective that keeps repeating.. clean ;). So if you like a clean setting with tasty food, eat here. You won't be disappointed!

Finger licking southern food! This is the real deal. It doesn't look like much on the outside since it's in a strip mall, but don't be turned away by that. I will drive 45 minutes to pick up dinner to go for my family. Amazing fried chicken and the ribs are fall off the bone. You can't go wrong. It is on the pricey side, but it's well worth it for the love they put into the food ! Treat yourself to some southern goodness

Easy to find location with ample seating that is spaced out. Very friendly staff. Service was quick, and several groups followed after us. That is always a good sign. Menu is broad: several types of wings, ribs, oxtails, tons of sides, etc. I am dissatisfied with the potato salad. It seemed to be missing some kind of zing. Like the taste explosion you get when an elder prepares a family food treasure. It was very bland. Even when buying from the store, you know to add flavor enhancements. Onions, mustard, pickle relish. You get the picture. Collard greens were ok. I did enjoy the fried pork chop even though I only had one. It was very prepared. Food was just uneventful. Perhaps it was an off day.

So I was on a layover and happened to pass Nana Morrison's on the way to the hotel so I decided to walk there to give it a try. I have to say I love the concept of a line where you say what you'd like and they build your box you ordered in front of you as you move down. Great customer service and really good input on what to get or try, obviously go for the large plate and don't forget a desert. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The ribs and chicken were good portions and very flavorful. The sides of Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes I got were like a royal pairing! Also, had the sweet potato pie because why not and I was drooling it was SOO good! The restaurant is immaculate when it comes to cleanliness and they really take care to ensure a delicious experience when you come there. I will definitely be picking up more layovers in CLT when I have such a great place nearby

Line was around 15 people long but went by insanely quick! Large Dinner Combo: BBQ ribs, Smothered chicken, Mac n cheese, Curry rice, Corn bread. The chicken and cornbread were SO moist and delicious! Banana pudding was creamy and not too sweet. Peach cobbler is on the denser and sweeter side if you're a sweet tooth. The sweet tea was refreshing! Not overly sweet as well.
